Step Ups.
Growing up in southwest Victoria, step ups were a large majority of what I have shaped in my time. The outlines are long and slender, generally never pushing 19” in width, I adapt the rocker based on the clients needs, whether it be for down the line tubes or open face turns, which dictates changes in the exit curve especially, aiming help the rider to feel comfortable when the waves have size. Rails are generally low, and the bottoms aren’t over concaved, allowing the rider to harness the power of the wave with control. Round, pin, or tight swallow tails can all be adapted.
Lengths: up to 6’9”
Widths: up to 19 1/4”
